Nonperishables are needed all year long. When it's cold out, it's great to have a warm bowl of soup our chowder, a hot cocoa or cup of tea. Comfort foods are good, too: instant mashed potatoes (plain or flavored), mac'n'cheese, tuna noodle casserole. Stop by our pop-up food drive on Saturday, December 17th to help all three pantries helping neighbors in Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth, and South Portland. Give what you can. Dropping off a couple extra canned goods might not seem like a big deal or very impactful. But if each of our 55,000 residents in South Portland, Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough, all gave a couple cans or boxes of food, you’re talking 100,000 items that will feed hundreds of neighbors in need. That is super impactful, especially now when so many are having a hard time making ends meet.” Dwayne Hopkins, South Portland Food Cupboard
